Employers will have to report domestic nationality

The Ministry of Labor began yesterday the pilot plan to regulate domestic work in the country, which implies the registration of both employers and workers in this trade.

For this, the institution had a two-page digital form that it uploads on its web portal. (Domesticas.mt.gob.do)that the employer will have to fill out with personal and labor information of those personnel who carry out the work inside and outside the home.

On the first page, ask the employer to enter the ID number of the domestic employee and once the digits are entered, the full name, nationality and date of birth of that worker will appear in the system.

This registry has about 15 questions that must be answered by the employer in order to generate a database that allows the identification of the population that applies for the benefits contemplated by the resolution 551-08 issued in August this year by the National Social Security Council.

In this last step, the employer will be able to select as many options as jobs that your domestic worker performs in your home from cleaner and domestic helper, butler, child and animal caretaker, as well as if they act as protection personnel.

Then, the option to specify the type of contract will appear, that is, if it is indefinite or for a specific period of time. Then, below, the employer will detail the workday of that person with days of work, duration and rest time.

Meanwhile, on the second page, the questions refer to the place of work (home), the address of the worker (sector, street, building number and reference)and a section for observations.
