Empleomanía goes to work after Fiona passes; few visitors

Dominican employers went to their respective jobs on Tuesday after Hurricane Fiona passed through the country.

Despite the fact that the wake of this atmospheric phenomenon is still felt in much of the national territory, public servants attended the call to work in the different government institutions.

Scenes as you are, the Listín Diario verified it in the Juan Pablo Duarte Government Offices, popularly known as "The Huacalito".

Inside that building, it could be seen from the cleaning staff, stewardship, assistants, secretaries to those in charge of security.

These citizens work for the Ministry of the Interior and Police; the National Statistics Office (ONE) and the Ministry of Finance, among others.

However, the atmosphere in those offices looks bleak without visitors.

The Executive Branch issued a decree last Sunday in which it established Monday, September 19 (yesterday) as non-working due to the arrival of Fiona on this island and, therefore, the Ministry of Labor instructed employers and workers to take "all necessary measures to safeguard your life and property for national production".
