“Emperor Prithvi Raj” flops badly, cinema empty

Mumbai: Indian actor Akshay Kumar’s second consecutive film Prithvi Raj also flops, cinemas started canceling shows due to lack of interest of viewers.

According to Indian media reports, after Bachchan Pandey, Akshay Kumar’s film Samrat Prithviraj also flopped, the film failed to get the attention of the audience, considering this situation, cinemas have started canceling the shows of the film.

Emperor Prithviraj was released on June 3 in Indian cinemas in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The film, which was made with a big budget of Rs 200 crore, did not do well at the box office and so far managed to earn only Rs 59 crore in 9 days.

According to the report, the film failed to show impressive performance from the first day, after which it was further reduced.

Remember that Akshay Kumar’s film is based on the life of Emperor Prithvi Raj, King Prithvi Raj Chauhan, in which superstar Akshay Mar has played the role of a legendary warrior. In the film, Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood have also shown the essence of acting while Manoshi Chhallar has played the role of King Prithviraj Chauhan’s beloved Sanyogita.

It should be noted that the film was being criticized even before its release in cinemas. The film has distorted the history and presented a biased point of view.

The Gulf states also banned the screening of the film, accusing it of insulting religious sentiments.
