Hollywood is buzzing! TV’s biggest stars are heading to the Emmy Awards 2025 this Sunday, September 14. It’s the night when we celebrate the best in television, and the excitement is building.
Comedian Nate Bargatze is hosting the 77th annual show at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. He shared his excitement back in April. "It’s a huge honor to be asked to host such an iconic awards show," he stated. "I’m super excited to work with CBS to make a night families everywhere can enjoy."
The nominations came out three months later. They celebrated the best TV shows aired from June 2024 to May of this year. Apple TV+’s hit show Severance grabbed the most nods. It earned a whopping 27 nominations across the Primetime and Creative Arts Emmys. HBO favorites The Penguin (24) and The White Lotus (23) followed close behind. Apple TV+ scored another win with The Studio. This show made history. It became the most nominated debut comedy ever at the Emmys, with 23 nods.
Bella Ramsey from The Last of Us also made Emmy history. At 21, they are the first non-binary person to get nominated more than once. Ramsey is up for Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series. They were also nominated in 2023 for playing Ellie in the HBO series.
