Emirates donates electric wheelchairs to Syrian earthquake victims

ABU DHABI: The United Arab Emirates has sent electric wheelchairs to the victims of the earthquake in Syria, which has given a new ray of hope to the people disabled in the earthquake.

According to Urdu News, Emirates Red Crescent is distributing electric wheelchairs to people affected by the terrible earthquake in Syria in February, apart from medical aid and facilities.

Aid to earthquake victims also includes medicines and nutritional supplements for the vulnerable, all programs organized by the Emirates Red Crescent in collaboration with Syrian counterparts.

The Syrian people have expressed their gratitude to the United Arab Emirates for this special help in the month of Ramadan after receiving electric wheelchairs in Al-Azqiya region of Syria.

Zain Al Abedin, a Syrian child who received a wheelchair, said that it is like two new legs for me, now I can go anywhere with its help and it will help me move faster.

It should be noted that the United Arab Emirates continues to provide assistance to the earthquake victims in Syria, which includes assistance to meet educational needs in addition to the health sector.
