Elon Musk threatens to sue Microsoft for using Twitter data

Twitter again has problems with other technologies. Microsoft announces that the Twitter app will no longer be available through its advertising platform, Smart Campaigns with multiplatform, as of April 25, 2023. Until now, it allowed users and companies to manage their social networks and additional platforms from a single virtual space, in the case of Twitter it was possible to schedule publications, manage tweets and know the metrics. Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, among other social networks, will continue to function normally within the Microsoft digital advertising platform.

The company made this decision due to the rise in API costs, stating that the current subscription price is $42,000 per month, a figure that it considers too high considering that the service was free until recently.

After this, in the midst of the controversy generated by this matter, Elon Musk made an accusation against Microsoft for having violated the data use policies of the social network. Everything indicates that it is related to the access to the data that OpenAI has made to release its artificial intelligence (AI) model, which supports the well-known chatbot ChatGPT.

Stealing the Twitter database, demonetizing it (removing ads), and then selling the data to others is not a winning solution. Time to denounce┬╗defend Musk. Despite this, last December, she also starred in a discussion on the social network regarding the possible removal of Twitter from Apple’s App Store, which was ultimately resolved after a meeting with Tim Cook.
