Elon Musk has mocked Warren Buffett after the 91-year-old multi-billionaire reiterated this weekend that he wouldn’t even buy all of the world’s Bitcoin for $25.
Musk makes fun of Warren Buffet
Buffett spoke at Berkshire Hathaway’s annual shareholder meeting on Saturday. Here, the 91-year-old investor criticized Bitcoin a lot. Buffett and his deputy, Berkshire Hathaway Vice Chairman Charlie Munger, had few good things to say about cryptocurrencies at the annual meeting.
Buffett is currently the sixth richest person in the world. His power is by Forbes valued at approximately $116.8 billion. Buffett said he is against Bitcoin because it is not a tangible asset like real estate or other things. He also says that he will never buy Bitcoins.
“Whether the Bitcoin price will go up or down in the next year, or in five or ten years, I don’t know. If you told me you own all the Bitcoin in the world and you offered it to me for $25, I wouldn’t take it. Because, what can I do with it? I should somehow sell it back to you. It’s not going to do anything.” Thus spoke Buffett.
Although Warren Buffet is seen as a legendary investor, many crypto fans could laugh at the hugely negative attitude. Elon Musk also found Buffet’s statements funny and tweeted the following:
Haha, he says ‘Bitcoin’ so often.
– This is how Musk laughs on Twitter.
With this, Elon Musk points out that for someone who has very little faith in the digital currency, he often talks about it at his shareholders’ meeting.
