The Bored Ape #1837 was sold to a buyer who used Moonpay. So it is rumored that Musk could be the buyer and he has used Moonpay to buy the NFT anonymously. That theory was also shared by blockchain insider Colin Wu via his Twitteraccount.

The only thing that goes against this theory is Musk’s statements to the NFT world. The Tesla CEO recently called out to the Twitter management team about the plethora of bots promoting NFT scams under every Twitter post.

Despite yesterday’s sharp correction in the crypto market, the NFT industry does not seem to be suffering from the pressure. The price of almost all major NFT objects remained the same or even increased.
