With ultrasound in hand, the television presenter Eliecer Mars and her husband Erick Martínez revealed this Wednesday that they will be biological parents through surrogacy or surrogacy after celebrating their wedding on May 25, 2019 in the Dominican Republic after four years of relationship.
The couple released the news simultaneously on Instagram and in People en Español magazine, where they offered all the details about the assisted reproduction process and the birth of the child that will be next December, “in the week of Christmas to be specific.”
“We first wanted to adopt a child in the Dominican Republic, but there adoption between people of the same sex is impossible, it is not allowed. Neither is marriage between people of the same sex; our wedding was even symbolic in this country, when we announced that we were going to get married, they threatened us that they were going to burn the villa where we were going to hold the event,” Marte told People en Español.
“Regarding surrogacy, we get advice from where it can be done in the United States and which countries are also outside. With the help of a lawyer and a specialized agency, we began the process to find where it would be possible to do it, as well as an interview with who would be our pregnant woman and then also the egg donor, who is anonymous. Obviously, the medical, biological process comes, until the embryos are formed and the transfer comes,” he continued.
The News 12 Networks journalist assured that the matter was not easy, but that he is excited to receive his first child in his arms. In addition, he admitted that he also plans to adopt the two children they care for and that in September they “determine if they stay with us.”
