Eleven of the year in the Saudi League… and Cristiano is not here!

Cristiano Ronaldo’s first year in the Saudi Arabian league has not been as successful as might be expected. His team, Al Nassr, finished second, five points behind first place, Al Ittihad, Karim Benzema’s future team. Nor could they win the Saudi Arabian Cup, which was lifted by Al Hilal. In addition, to round off the season, he has been left out of the best eleven in the competition. Opta’s artificial intelligence has produced the best team of the tournament and CR7 does not occupy any of the three places in the lead.

The arrival in the middle of the season has penalized Cristiano Ronaldo’s candidacy for eleven. The Portuguese has only played 16 games out of the 30 that are played in the Saudi league. None of their competitors for a spot up front have gone below 25 games. Al Brikan has participated in all 30 games, scoring 17 goals. Ighalo has played 27 games and scored 19 times, and Batna 25 games and 15 goals. Even so, the Portuguese does not move away from the figures of the trident. Cristiano has scored 14 goals in his 16 games, 0.87 goals per match, the best average of the three.

The champion is the team that contributes the most to the starting eleven. Al Ittihad has five players, with a defense made up almost exclusively of the Jeddah team. Cristiano’s Al Nassr has two players represented in the best team of the season. left side Ghislain Konan and the pivot Luis Gustavo. Both have been the best rated in the tournament, the Ivorian with a score of 8’9 and the Brazilian with 8’3.
