Elden Ring Nightreign Update Boosts Solo Gameplay Experience Soon

Elden Ring Nightreign is on fire – and not just because of its popularity. Critics are having a field day too. Now, the game’s developers, FromSoftware, have announced a patch to fix some of the issues.

The updates will make life easier for solo players. For starters, they’ll get an automatic revive once per boss battle at night. That’s a big deal, since playing alone means no friends to revive you if you mess up. They’ll also get more runes than they would in co-op mode.

This fixes a major problem: playing solo meant you couldn’t level up as fast, and you had no one to revive you if you died. The game already has a workaround, though – an item called Wending Grace. It’s available in shops and can revive you once if you die during a night boss battle. You can carry two at a time, but it only works in solo mode.

What’s changing

  • Automatic revival once per night boss battle
  • More runes for solo players

FromSoftware announced the changes on Twitter:

The update, version 1.0.2, is coming next week. Elden Ring Nightreign is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC, with Thai subtitles.
