The Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) “brand” is dead and eFootball is the name of Konami’s new soccer simulator. But it seems that with the iconic name gone, Konami is ready to end what’s left of the game’s reputation.
This week the “eFootball 2022” was launched to compete with FIFA 22 which hits stores today. But the game is far from convincing. Add negative reviews on Steam and it has become a real meme on social media.
eFootball 2022 Has the Worst Steam Rating Ever
If you see the cover on the steamYou will find a “barrage of criticism”. Many even describe it as “the worst game” they have ever played, speaking of “bad gameplay”, “horrible graphics” and endless “bugs”.
To give you an idea, the Steam250 website has a list of the 100 worst on Steam. And eFootball 2022 comes in last, with a rating of 0.89 out of 10,356 votes (as of writing date).
Remember that eFootball has an alliance with Barcelona, after having done a facial examination on Messi when he was still playing for the Catalan club. But the result has already become a real meme, and the comparisons to FIFA 22 (which didn’t do this scan) are impressive. The same goes for the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo.
Bugs in FIFA or PES are nothing new. But this eFootball already has a nice collection. In a video shared by the user, Ansu Fati appears running as the anime character Naruto.
In another video we find several players inside a stadium. The problem is that when some athletes start to appear, we only see a levitating event, as you can see below.
If you’re curious to try eFootball, you can do so for free (albeit limited). As we told you in another article, FIFA 22 hits stores today with several novelties.
