EdeSur will invest US $ 9.7 million in Baní in projects that will benefit some 75,000 people

Edesur Dominicana signed a social co-responsibility pact with more than 20 communities in Baní, Peravia province, where the company is developing important power grid rehabilitation projects, benefiting more than 75,000 people.

The work has an investment of more than US $ 9.7 million, through financing from the OPEC Fund for International Development OFID and consists of the rehabilitation of some 107 kilometers of medium voltage networks, the lifting of 3,202 poles, the installation of 3, 862 transformers and 3,099 lights, as well as the standardization of 16,050 supplies; of which 13,689 will have postpaid technology and 2,361 prepaid, details a note from the institution.

The community members pledged to facilitate the work of the distributor, in order to enforce the scheduled commitments, participate in the calls for training and awareness about the rights and obligations as users of the electric power service and cooperate to incorporate all customers into the cycle commercial.
