Eddie Hearn contradicts Tyson Fury; The fight with Anthony Joshua is still in talks

This Monday Tyson Fury revealed that a virtual fight against Anthony Joshua would not happen. The 32-year-old fighter’s camp has denied the ‘Gipsy King’ claims.

In an interview for Mike Coppinger, from ESPN, Eddie HearnJoshua’s promoterinformed that the conversations between his client and fury remain; In addition, he denied that a deadline to negotiate the fight has been met.

“We have had several positive calls between promoters and television networks that we work hard to have a fight,” he explained. “We haven’t discussed a deadline, but we’re moving forward to try and finalize a deal.”

Hearn’s words come practically two weeks after Joshua’s team will supposedly accept the economic conditions of the fight ─Fury would take 60% of the agreed purse and the venue would be the Municipality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

The only obstacle would have been the owners of the television rights. While Joshua has a deal with DAZN, Fury fights under the auspices of ESPN in the US and BT Sport in the UK.
