Ecuador: Terrible earthquake caused destruction, 15 people died

New York: A 6.8-magnitude earthquake wreaked havoc in Ecuador and northern Peru, 14 people were killed and hundreds were injured by collapsing buildings.

According to details, at least 15 people died and more than 400 were injured due to a magnitude 6.8 earthquake in the South American country of Ecuador.

According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake was 41 miles underground and was centered near Balao. Ecuadorian officials say the quake was followed by two aftershocks, with tremors felt as far away as Ecuador as far as the central Pacific coast.
