A 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck Luding County in China’s southwestern Sichuan province on Monday, damaging houses in the Ganje Tibetan Autonomous Region and shaking buildings in the province’s capital, Chengdu.
People are not allowed to leave their homes
There more than two crore people are living in strict lockdown. After the earthquake, the police and health workers did not allow troubled and panicked people to leave their homes, due to which people’s anger about the country’s Kovid policy has increased.
Earthquake caused great devastation
The earthquake that hit Sichuan, China on Monday caused massive destruction. The tremors of the earthquake were so strong that everything was ruined in seconds. Many buildings here turned into rubble. The epicenter of the earthquake was Luding County. The magnitude of the earthquake was measured at 6.8 on the Richter scale. Rocks also broke at places and fell on the roads, while people were buried under the rubble of buildings in residential areas.
