EA Sports F1 25: Free Weekend Play, Challenge Ollie Bearman

Gaming enthusiasts worldwide have the opportunity this weekend to test their virtual racing skills against a real Formula One driver’s lap time and unlock exclusive in-game content, as Electronic Arts offers a free-play event for its EA SPORTS™ F1® 25 title.

The free access, running from October 16-20, spans PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Players gain full entry to the FIA Formula One World Championship 2025 season, the narrative-driven Braking Point mode, and the My Team 2.0 career experience.

A highlight of the event is a new “Pro Challenge” where players can attempt to beat a lap set by Haas F1 team rookie Ollie Bearman at the Circuit of the Americas.

This virtual challenge celebrates the United States Grand Prix in Austin, which is Haas’ home race. It offers players the chance to unlock the official 2025 United States Grand Prix team livery, mirroring its real-world debut.

Bearman, alongside teammate Esteban Ocon, competed to set the fastest lap for inclusion in the game, with Bearman emerging victorious.

“Esteban gave it his best, but I wasn’t going to let him get the fastest lap that easily,” Bearman quipped. “Now it’s your turn — I want to see who’s fast enough to beat my time.”

Players can enter “F1 World” from October 15 to take on Bearman’s time. Those participating during the free weekend will also receive double XP on the Podium Pass.

New players opting to purchase the game can do so at a 30% discount on the recommended retail price until October 20. This offer is available across Xbox, Steam, and PlayStation, with the PlayStation discount applying only to the Standard Edition.

All progress and unlocked content from the free trial period will transfer should players decide to buy the full game. Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: EA) publishes the title.
