EA Blocks 330,000 Battlefield 6 Beta Cheats, Player Reports Continue

The Battlefield 6 open beta has been a huge hit. Players are flocking to try out the new game. But all that excitement comes with a dark side: a surge in cheating. Game maker EA recently shared some surprising numbers.

The company caught and stopped over 330,000 cheating attempts. This massive effort happened in just two days of early beta access. EA’s special anti-cheat system, called Javelin, is working hard. It blocks many of these unwanted programs.

Still, the fight against cheaters is ongoing. Even with Javelin doing its job, players are seeing a lot of suspicious activity. EA said players sent in over 44,000 reports of possible cheating. Another 60,000 reports came in just today. This shows cheaters are still finding ways around the system.

This beta test is a crucial time for EA. It’s their chance to really see how well their anti-cheat tools work. They need to figure out how to stop cheating before the game fully launches. The fight against these dishonest players is a constant challenge for game developers.

Battlefield 6 is set to officially release on October 10th. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. For those who want to jump in now, the open beta is free to play until August 11th. Another beta period will run from August 14th to August 17th.
