Dynamo Kyiv Wins Ukrainian Championship Title After Four-Year Wait Successfully.

The Ukrainian league has a new champion, and it’s the Dínamo Kiev, celebrating their 17th title four years after their last win. A 1-1 draw against Odessa on Sunday sealed their victory. The team finished with 69 points, three ahead of Oleksandriya, who are now out of contention.

The match against Odessa was intense. Yarmolenko scored from a penalty in the 54th minute, making history as Dínamo Kiev’s top scorer in the league with 114 goals, surpassing Serhiy Rebrov’s record. Khoblenko equalized for Odessa in the 68th minute, but it wasn’t enough to stop Dínamo Kiev’s celebration.

A New Era Under Shovkovsky

This championship marks a milestone for Oleksandr Shovkovsky, who won his first title as Dínamo Kiev’s coach. The team’s victory was confirmed when Oleksandriya lost their chance to catch up, due to their head-to-head record.

The social media post from the official Dínamo Kiev X/Twitter account on May 18, 2025, captured the excitement:

Dínamo Kiev’s dominance in the league is clear. Their performance this season has earned them the top spot, and they’re celebrating in style. The team’s history and success continue to inspire their fans.
