In January 2023, students Rodrigo van Asseldonk and Vince van Hoesel discovered, to their great surprise, that there was still no association in the field of blockchain:

“At first we just wanted to create a club in Nijmegen, but then we thought it would be much better to bring people together across the Netherlands,” say Rodrigo and Vince.

Today, SBAN celebrates a year of growth and success with seven active associations across the country. SBAN’s mission to share and multiply knowledge has resulted in a dynamic year of developments. They proudly proclaim that they have connected the entire blockchain ecosystem. This gives their members access to networking opportunities, knowledge and experience, according to the founders.

Within a year, the Students Blockchain Association Netherlands (SBAN) has made a significant impact.
