The idea of founding a blockchain association
In January 2023, students Rodrigo van Asseldonk and Vince van Hoesel discovered, to their great surprise, that there was still no association in the field of blockchain:
“We wanted to share our interest in blockchain technology with other students and put it into practice.”

“At first we just wanted to create a club in Nijmegen, but then we thought it would be much better to bring people together across the Netherlands,” say Rodrigo and Vince.

Today, SBAN celebrates a year of growth and success with seven active associations across the country. SBAN’s mission to share and multiply knowledge has resulted in a dynamic year of developments. Within a year, the Students Blockchain Association Netherlands (SBAN) has made a significant impact.
