How They Work
Flower Turbines’ technology is based on a vertical-axis design, which allows them to capture wind energy from any direction. This is different from traditional horizontal-axis turbines, which need to be positioned to face the wind. The tulip-shaped turbines can be grouped together, creating a “bouquet effect” that enhances energy production even in low-wind conditions. Future Plans

The goal is to make Flower Turbines available to a wider audience, including urban, rural, and community settings. As of 2024, the company had secured over $17 million in funding and attracted nearly 8,000 supporters. Flower Turbines is also exploring the possibility of integrating solar panels into its design, potentially creating a hybrid system for generating renewable energy. This move could further enhance the company’s mission to provide clean and sustainable energy solutions.
