Dubai government issues new guidelines for hotels and restaurants

The Dubai Department of Tourism and Marketing has allowed hotels to use 100 percent of their capacity. According to Dubai Media, the Department of Tourism and Marketing has said in its statement that new regulations have been drawn up for the tourism sector to prevent the corona virus. The following instructions have been issued to all investors, hotel, restaurant and service provider managers.

Hotels and restaurants have been told that they can use up to 80% of their capacity. The distance between the tables can be kept from one and a half meters to two meters. Pre-epidemic working hours can be restored. Instructions and permits issued by the department must be followed.

Restaurants and cafes can operate until 3pm, as long as they follow the rules. All entertainment venues, showrooms, museums, cinemas and tourism organizations can use up to 80% of the capacity.

The one hundred percent capacity can be used in commercial activities as long as Corona’s SOPs are met.

The number of participants in closed-door social programs is allowed up to 2,500, while open spaces can accommodate up to 5,000 people; no vaccination restrictions will be necessary.

Up to 60% of the capacity can be used in all places where sports programs and recreational activities are held.

Up to 1,000 people can attend prize distribution and institutional events. No vaccine restriction. Up to 60% coverage can be used as long as there are no more than 300 people.

The directive further states that program managers must submit an agreement that they will be 100% responsible for complying with Corona’s SOPs.
