Dubai Customs’ Smart Lockers project is ready to expedite logistics and handling services for valuable cargo at the airport, and delivery of goods under the iBox system will be ensured soon.

At the airport, passengers can simply scan the QR code on the locker and use the OTP code sent to their phone number to open the locker and pay the online storage fee without any paperwork.

Ahmed Mehboob Misbah, Director General, Dubai Customs, said that the smart lockers would be safe in all respects and the move would also strengthen digitalisation in the sector.

Meanwhile, other customs officials said that they were providing quick and easy facilities to the passengers.
