Benchmarking platform Master Lu has just unveiled the list of Android-based smartphones with smoother performance and the title of champion goes to the pair Xiaomi 12 Pro and MIUI 13.
And so begins the list of titles that Xiaomi’s new flagship will collect in the near future, thanks to its list of premium specifications.
First and second place occupied by Xiaomi
Qualcomm launched its high-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor in November and since then several brands have unveiled their new premium smartphones that have this chip in the controls.
There is no doubt that this processor offers extraordinary performance potential, despite the overheating issues that are already well documented. But all smartphones are made up of two parts: hardware and software. And if the terminals integrate the same hardware components, as is the case with the Qualcomm processor, how can we differentiate them in terms of performance?
The answer is simple: through software. And this is where the interfaces of each manufacturer can make a difference, if they can provide a more intelligent and fluid performance from the terminal where they are included.
According to the list published by the benchmarking platform Master Lu, this is exactly what the new pair Xiaomi 12 Pro and MIUI 13 achieved. The new premium smartphone and Xiaomi’s revamped MIUI interface snatched the title of champions, in performance. smoother, with a score of 216.20 points.
OPPO Find N foldable goes straight to third place for smoother performance
As expected, in second place is the Xiaomi 12, also equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and MIUI 13 with 210.04 points. And Xiaomi’s dominance is only broken in third place by OPPO Find N.
OPPO’s new foldable smartphone gets a score of 202.76 thanks to its Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, ColorOS 12 interface, based on Android 11, and 120 Hz refresh rate.
Given this data, we can say that the big winner of the smarter and smoother performance is undoubtedly the new MIUI 13 interface, based on Android 12.
The reason why MIUI 13 offers the smoothest performance
Xiaomi took a while to present its renewed and redesigned interface, but judging by the first results, the wait was worth it. First, because the brand took all this time to make MIUI 13 faster and more stable, according to Xiaomi.
With the lessons learned from the MIUI 12 experience, to develop MIUI 13 the Chinese brand focused its efforts on optimizing basic functions, which include atomic memory, liquid storage and focus computing 2.0.
The result is that MIUI 13 takes 15% less to load third-party applications compared to MIUI 12.5, just to give an example.
