Drug case, how much punishment can Aryan Khan get?

Leading Bollywood actor King Khan Shah Rukh Khan and his son are in the news these days. Aryan Khan has been arrested for using drugs during a ‘Rio Party’ on a cruise.

According to Indian media reports, King Khan’s son was arrested by the NCB under sections 8C, 20B, 27 and 35 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985, if all these charges are against him. If convicted, they could face up to six months to 20 years in prison.

It may be recalled that NDPS had arrested Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan in a surprise raid on a ship’s Rio party on the night of October 2. During the raid, NDPS arrested Aryan Khan and his son. Illegal drugs were recovered from colleagues.

Later, during interrogation, Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan confessed to using drugs. He was produced in court on October 4, where the court handed over Aryan to the Narcotics Control Bureau till October 7.

On the other hand, neither Shah Rukh Khan nor his wife, film producer Gauri Khan, has made a direct statement on the case against Aryan Khan.
