The general manager of the Dominican team for the World Baseball Classic, Nelson Cruz, reported this Wednesday afternoon that the Dominican technical team would be counting on several scouts who will be in the games that will take place in the Asian continent and in the state from Arizona, United States.
This with the purpose of obtaining information about the teams, players and the daily events during the tournament.
“We have scouts in Asiathey will be in all the games that are going to be held in Asia, they will also be in Arizona and Taichung”, affirmed Cruz.
He also indicated that the information collected will be provided to the coaches and manager of the tricolor team, Rodney Linares.
“What is happening on a day-to-day basis, We want to collect all this type of information directly and that it arrives freshdirectly to the coaches and manager,” Nelson said.
These statements were given during a press conference at the Quisqueya Stadium, where the shirt that the Dominican team will wear during the Classic was presented.
Present during the activity were the president of the Professional Baseball League of the Dominican Republic (Lidom), Vitelio Mejía; the president of the Dominican Baseball Federation (Fedobe), Juan Nuñez; the president of the Olympic committee, Garibaldy Batista, among others.
