Dove Cameron certainly knows how to make a splash. The talented actress and singer recently shared some sun-drenched moments that have everyone talking.
On Saturday, August 16, Cameron, who is 29, treated her fans to a series of stunning photos on Instagram. She gathered her long brown hair in her hands and tilted her head, offering a soft, gentle smile to the camera. In these snaps, she was sporting a dazzling red string bikini that definitely turned heads.
Cameron posed kneeling on the ground, completing her vibrant red bikini look with matching red lipstick and crisp white sneakers. In another picture, she looked straight ahead, holding a calm expression on her face. She kept her caption simple and sweet: “🌞🍰 amici belli ♡ vita bella 🕊️”. It was a little peek into her beautiful life.
Cameron didn’t just share her own photos. She also posted a snap of her boyfriend, Damiano David. He looked directly into the camera, standing shirtless outdoors. It was a nice, candid shot of the Måneskin frontman.
These two, Cameron and David, first sparked dating rumors in 2023. They then made things official by stepping out together on the red carpet at the Pre-Grammy Gala the following year. Cameron later opened up about how their relationship began, sharing details in a 2024 interview with Cosmopolitan.
She remembered their very first meeting was at the VMAs in 2022. “His band and I were up for the same award,” she explained about that initial encounter with David. “A few months later, his team reached out to me about attending their album launch. Our schedules didn’t line up, but I thought, ‘How sweet that they thought of me. We’d only met once.'”
Things kept happening where their paths almost crossed. “At one point, his band and I were thinking about working together,” she added. “They had recorded something, so I went and laid down vocals on that track. They even asked me to open for them on tour, but I couldn’t make it work.” She described it as being like “ships in the night.” But fate had other plans. “When we ran into each other again at the VMAs in 2023, we finally had a real reason to talk,” she said.

Cameron reflected that while her relationship with David might look “very intense and passionate” from the outside, both she and David have “been in situations where we got very hurt in the past, and we’re very sensitive people.”
She remembered that when they first met, “we weren’t looking. We were just exploring. It was like, ‘How interesting. This is not what I expected.'” So, their connection grew “very, very slowly, with cautious, almost interview-like questions, for eight hours before it was finally like, ‘Are we holding hands yet?'” She found him fascinating. “He carries himself in a way that seems very approachable,” she noted. “But then you spend two minutes with him and you realize he’s the kindest, most generous, innocent, giving person. He’s a beautiful, sensitive soul.”
