Incidents in Lavalleja Neighborhood
This Friday afternoon, two traffic accidents occurred in the Lavalleja neighborhood, just a few blocks away from each other.
First Accident: Car Fire
The first incident took place at the intersection of Pedro Fuentes and José María Silva. A car’s mechanical failure caused the driver to lose control, resulting in the vehicle hitting a tree and catching fire. Fortunately, the driver and his son managed to escape with non-serious injuries.
Firefighters were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the vehicle fire.
Second Accident: Collision with Electrical Column
Nine blocks away from the first incident, a 36-year-old man was moderately to severely injured after colliding with an electrical network column at the intersection of José María Silva and Burgues. The impact caused the column to fall on the vehicle, and the electrical network cable fell on a nearby bus stop, temporarily disabling it.
