Kimberley Bos has achieved a unique achievement by becoming the first Dutch athlete to become European champion in the skeleton in Sankt Moritz. The 28-year-old Bos also won the World Cup, also a Dutch first.

Bos just missed her third World Cup victory of the season in Switzerland. De Edese only had to tolerate Jaclyn Narracott from Australia. After two runs, Narracott, who recorded her first World Cup victory, was 0.06 faster than Bos.

The 28-year-old Bos finished on the podium in six of the eight World Cup competitions: twice first, three times second and once third. At European Championships she had never made it beyond fifth place (in 2017 and 2018).
