In a report released by the United States, Pakistan has been included in the list of countries where religious freedom has been violated and people of different faiths do not have the freedom to live as they wish.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blankenship says there are 10 countries where systematic, ongoing, reprehensible violations of religious freedom are tolerated. The State Department compiles a list of such countries each year.
This year’s list includes Myanmar, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Eritrea, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Pakistan, in addition to China and Russia.
It should be noted that last year Nigeria was also included in this list, whose name has been removed from this year’s list. US Secretary of State Blankenship is due to visit Nigeria next week.
Newcomers to the watch list include Algeria, Comoros, Nicaragua and Cuba.
According to the US State Department, serious violations of religious freedom are tolerated in these countries.
“We see that governments around the world do not allow people to live up to their beliefs, they are harassed or arrested, they are threatened, they are imprisoned,” Blankenship said in a statement. Or people are killed simply because they have different beliefs.
It should be noted that US Secretary of State Ehtoni Blanken is on a five-day visit to three African countries, which started on Wednesday. During the visit, he will meet with African leaders and discuss, among other things, the growing threat to democracy.
