A dog from the US state of Pennsylvania has caused a lot of headaches for his owners. He Ate $4,000 in cash. An expensive joke, one would think. However, owners Carrie and Clayton Law came up with a very creative solution to the problem.

The unexpected incident
In early December, Clayton Law hired a contractor to install a fence at his home in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Since the contractor wanted to be paid in cash, Clayton withdrew $4,000 in cash from the savings account and placed it on the kitchen table.
You might think that nothing is wrong. The loyal four-legged friend Cecil thought otherwise. The rascal, a mix between a golden retriever and a poodle, found the pile of money and devoured it. In an interview with the Pittsburgh City Paper, Carrie Law believes they found Cecil with numerous small pieces of money around him. The damage was already done.
The solution
Remarkably, the owners were concerned not with the small capital in Cecil's stomach, but with the animal's health. After calling the vet, the dog's health was not in danger and the focus could be turned to the next problem: money.
Cecil didn't like the expensive food and spit most of it out. Carrie and Clayton picked up all the scraps and scraps and carefully scrubbed them clean. Miraculously, they were able to prove to the bank that it was more than $3,500. Unfortunately, $450 remained in Cecil's stomach.
It's a miracle that this story still has a somewhat happy ending. If the contractor had simply requested payment in crypto instead of cash, this drama would never have happened. Unless, of course, Cecil was also interested in a hardware wallet. It is certainly a remarkable story. But hopefully next time Cecil will just stick to his dry food.
