Arouca forward Djouahra is set to rejoin the starting lineup for the team’s upcoming match against Moreirense, following a recent benching.
He was placed on the substitutes’ bench for the recent game against Benfica, with Miguel Puche taking his usual spot.
Puche earned the starting position after a standout performance in the Portuguese Cup. He scored two goals against Portimonense, securing Arouca’s victory and progression in the competition.
Despite this temporary benching, Djouahra has been a consistent presence for Arouca. Coach Vasco Seabra has utilized him in all matches this season.
The French-Algerian player has recorded three goals and one assist in 10 appearances for the club. He is currently Arouca’s second-highest scorer.
Djouahra joined Arouca as a Croatian champion, having previously played for Rijeka.
Only Trezza has scored more goals for Arouca this season. Another player, Fukui, also began the Benfica match on the bench.
