Djokovic and Alcaraz will meet in the semifinals

The world number Novak Djokovic qualified unhurriedly for the semifinals of the Madrid Masters 1000, where he will face the young prodigy Carlos Alcaraz, by dominating the Pole Hubert Hurkacz (14th) 6-3, 6-4 this Friday.

Djokovic continues to recover sensations on the Madrid brick dust, on which he has won his last two games in straight sets.

Alcaraz beat Rafael Nadal in three sets with a score of 6-2, 1-6, 6-3.

Against Hurkacz, who made too many unforced errors, the Serb didn’t have to stretch his skills to prevail: a break in each set helped him win the match in 1 hour and 21 minutes.

‘Nole’, who was already winning 3-0 in just twelve minutes of play, did not have to face any break point.

In the second round he had eliminated Gaël Monfils (21st) 6-3, 6-2. In the round of 16 he did not have to play as he benefited from Andy Murray’s sick leave.

In his first few tournaments, Djokovic had lost his entry into Monte Carlo (against Davidovich), and lost the Belgrade final to Russia’s Andrey Rublev.
