DjMariio defeats Ibai Llanos in Kings League showdown

The 2025 season has kicked off with a bang for the Kings League, and it’s all thanks to the Kings World Cup Nations and the transfer market, which have brought back the excitement and viewership. The inaugural event was a game-changer, not only because of its massive international impact, with 16 teams represented by some of the world’s top content creators, but also due to the sheer scale of the event. Meanwhile, the transfer market has been just as crucial, albeit on a national level, with almost every team overhauling their squad and the presidents once again taking center stage.

As the dust settled after the transfer market, it seemed like there were clear winners and losers. Jijantes and El Barrio were widely panned for their moves, and it looked like they’d be the worst teams by a mile. However, the start of the league has told a different story, with Adri Contreras’ and Gerard Romero’s teams getting off to a flying start. On the flip side, Ultimate Móstoles and Porcinos were the big winners of the transfer market, according to popular opinion, with star-studded squads that surprisingly struggled in the first round, losing 6-1 and 7-0, respectively.

It was only a matter of time before these two teams bounced back, given the talent on their rosters. The first week’s performance didn’t reflect the quality of their players, and that was proven in the second round. Porcinos showed a different face, beating 1K FC 9-4, while Ultimate Móstoles, despite struggling, eked out a 5-4 win over Aniquiladores. The real test for both teams came in the third round, when they faced off against each other.

Ultimate Móstoles Dominates the First Half

The high expectations surrounding the match were confirmed in the opening minutes, with goals galore, especially for Ultimate Móstoles. Before the first half was over, they’d taken a 3-1 lead, courtesy of goals from Canet, De la Bella, and De la Mata, with Pelaz scoring for Porcinos. The rest of the half played out similarly, with Ultimate Móstoles running riot and taking a 7-3 lead into the break. It was a disastrous half for Ibai Llanos, with even the streamer himself missing a penalty, while DjMariio’s team was clicking on all cylinders.

The first half was a shock, given that while Ultimate Móstoles was expected to win, their dominance was not part of the script.

DjMariio Gets the Better of Ibai Llanos

As mentioned, the first half belonged to Ultimate Móstoles, who were vastly superior to Ibai Llanos. For Porcinos to take the points, they needed a flawless second half, but it wasn’t to be. While we saw an improved version of Porcinos after the break, their haste and defensive errors once again cost them. Despite controlling the ball, DjMariio’s team wasn’t overly troubled, and they secured a convincing 9-5 win, taking the three points in this clash of Kings League favorites.
