Makers of Rajinikanth’s “Jailer 2” released an exclusive behind-the-scenes (BTS) video today. The production house extended Diwali greetings to fans with the new footage. The highly anticipated action film stars superstar Rajinikanth in the lead.

The BTS footage offers a glimpse into the making of the Tamil movie. It showcases action sequences, team interactions, and lighthearted moments from the set. Fans nationwide eagerly await the sequel’s release.

“Jailer 2” is an upcoming Tamil action-comedy film. Nelson Dilipkumar wrote and directed the movie. Sun Pictures is producing the sequel.

The film stars Rajinikanth in the lead role. The ensemble cast includes Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Mirna, SJ Surya, Shiva Rajkumar, Nandamuri Balakrishna, and Mithun Chakraborty.

Mithun Chakraborty is set to play a significant part in the film. Rajinikanth previously made special appearances in two of Chakraborty’s earlier films. These were ‘Bhrashtachar’ (1989, Hindi) and ‘Bhagya Debata’ (1997, Bengali).

“Jailer 2” is scheduled for a multi-language theatrical release. The film will hit cinemas on June 12, 2026. This project follows Rajinikanth’s 2023 blockbuster, “Jailer.”
