Disappointed with the yogi government, the farmer fell into the trap

New Delhi: A heartbroken farmer has embraced death over the poor policies of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

According to Indian media reports, a 55-year-old farmer named Pratap Singh owed a debt of Rs. 250,000 to him. Life is over

According to the SHO of Zarif Nagar police station, the farmer had left his house on Monday and his body was later found hanging from a tree outside the village. He had recently sold his oxen to pay for his wife’s treatment and his debt.

The SHO quoted Pratap’s family as saying that he was distressed by the outstanding debt and had lost his farm and did not see any hope of getting his life back on track.

After the alleged suicide, Pratab Singh’s family has refused to take any legal action, while the body has been handed over to heirs after due process.

According to a conservative estimate, more than 6,000 farmers have lost their lives since 2012, citing government debt and related policies as the main reason for Indian farmers’ suicides.
