Director Tarun Mansukhani Supports Deepika Padukone’s 8 Hour Work Shift

Tarun Mansukhani, the director of the newly released film “Housefull 5”, has chimed in on Deepika Padukone’s alleged demand for an 8-hour work shift. In a conversation with India Today, Mansukhani expressed that while he understands the importance of a reasonable work schedule, it’s crucial to discuss and agree upon such terms before filming commences.

Mansukhani emphasized that once production is underway, numerous factors come into play, including the schedules of other actors, location permits, and budget constraints. He suggested that such demands should be included in the contract to ensure everyone involved is prepared and on board.

As for his personal preferences, Mansukhani revealed that he values his downtime and enjoys spending time with his dog. He believes that having a clear understanding of work hours and schedules is essential to maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

The director also touched upon the potential impact of shortened work shifts on film production, stating that it could lead to an increase in the overall budget. He explained that if an actor is only available for 8 hours, the production team may need to allocate additional days to complete the shoot, which could result in higher costs.

Meanwhile, reports have surfaced that Deepika Padukone was allegedly removed from the film “Spirit” due to her demands, which included an 8-hour work shift and extra pay for extended work hours. Several celebrities, including Ajay Devgn and Mani Ratnam, have come out in support of Padukone’s alleged demands.

Mansukhani’s “Housefull 5” has hit theaters, featuring an ensemble cast, including Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, and Jacqueline Fernandez, among others. The film is a comedy and has generated significant buzz in the entertainment industry.
