Director Sawan Kumar Tak dies of heart attack, worked with Sanjeev Kumar to Salman

Renowned filmmaker, director, lyricist and writer Sawan Kumar Tak passed away at around 4:15 pm today at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. Telling ABP News about this, Sawan Kumar’s nephew and filmmaker Naveen Tak said: “According to doctors, he died due to heart attack and multiple organ failure.”

Naveen Tak further told ABP News: “Sawan Kumar Tak, 86, suffered from lung disease for a long time. For the past few days, he felt very weak and had a fever. We thought he had pneumonia.” he happened, but after he was admitted to the hospital, he found that his lungs were completely damaged. Sawan Kumar, who was admitted for ICU treatment, was also not functioning properly. In such a situation, his condition became very critical. He had it happened.”

Let us tell you that in his career of more than four decades, he has worked with all the big stars like Sanjeev Kumar or Salman Khan. Sawan Kumar Tak made his first film as a producer, Naunihal, in which Sanjeev Kumar also had a major role. Sawan Kumar Tak made his first film as a director with actress Meena Kumari which was released in 1972 and the name of the film was Gomti Ke Kine. Apart from Sanjeev Kumar, Meena Kumari, he gave big hits working with all the big stars like Rajesh Khanna, Jeetendra, Sridevi, Jaya Prada, Salman Khan.

Apart from these, films credited for producing and directing include Havas, Soutan, Saajan Bin Suhagan, Soutan Ki Beti, Sanam Bewafa, Bewafa Se Wafa, Khalnayika, Maa, Salma Pe Dil Aa Gaya, Sanam Harjai, Chand Ka Tukda Includes movies. Sawan Kumar has been known for making female-oriented films.

Born in Jaipur, Rajasthan, Sawan Kumar Tak has been very fond of writing poetry and songs as well as producing and directing movies. In such a situation, in addition to his films, he wrote songs for many of his films for other filmmakers, many of which turned out to be super hits.

Song ‘Barkha Rani Zara Jamke Barso’ from the movie Sabak (1973) written by Sawan Kumar Tak and performed in Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha, ‘Zindagi Pyaar Ka Geet’ from the movie directed by Sawan Kumar Tak Sautan (1983) Hai’ and his song ‘Teri Galli Mein Na Rahenge Kadam’, written by him in his movie ‘Havas’, became very popular. Sawan Kumar Tak is also credited with writing some songs for Hrithik Roshan’s debut film as a hero, Kaho Na Pyaar Hai (2000).

Lata Mangeshkar music composer Usha Mangeshkar provided hit music in many Sawan Kumar Tak films. They both got married after a few years, but this relationship of both of them did not last long and soon they both got divorced. They both have no children. Kumar Tak’s nephew, Naveen Tak, told ABP News that the last rites for his maternal uncle will take place today and that they are preparing for it.
