Veteran Team India goalkeeper batsman Dinesh Karthik praised Rohit Sharma’s approach. On 7 December, in the second ODI against Bangladesh, Rohit came out to bat despite a thumb injury. In the second match played at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium Mirpur Dhaka, India lost by 5 runs in a close match against the hosts. Rohit, batting at number 9 in this match, played an aggressive 51-run innings off 28 balls. During his adventurous innings, Hitman hit 3 fours and 5 sixes.

Dinesh Karthik said that Rohit showed with his brave step what it means to represent the country and lead the team from the front. Wicketkeeper Batter further said that overall Bangladesh was the best team to win the series. Speaking to Cricbuzz, Karthik said that it was a brave and good effort on his part. The third and final match of the three ODI series being played between India and Bangladesh will be played on December 10 (Saturday). But Rohit Sharma is out of the third match due to injury. He returns to Mumbai to see a specialist about his thumb injury. He is doubtful to play in the Test series due to a thumb injury. According to head coach Rahul Dravid, Rohit returns to Mumbai. It is too early to say if he will be available in the two test series or not.
