Dimas Gimeno sells 20% of the capital of WOW

Dimas Gimeno, former president of El Corte Inglés, has sold 20% of the company that controls WOW to Vertical Partners. This is the investment fund created by Grupo Leonisa to make investments, a Colombian company that owns the largest intimate fashion company in Latam, in different sectors.

The Urrea family, owner of Vertical Partners, has acquired a part of WOW Concept, as they have shared The confidential, thus expanding the stake it already has in the company. Currently, the Urreas are the largest shareholders of WOW after Dimas Gimeno.

WOW Concept is in a capital increase process as it hopes to open a new space in the capital soon. It will be located in the old building that was previously occupied by El Corte Inglés at number 52 of the Madrid street, and due to the situation it will be focused on a luxury offer. The space has been rented by Gimeno for thirty years.

The new space could also include a gastronomic space like the one recently included in the WOW Cocept store on Gran Vía. “The Penthouse byWOW” is a restaurant run by chef Javier Goya that will bring together different chefs to offer a unique gastronomic experience.
