Dillian Whyte (28-3-0, 19 KO) will face undefeated Jermaine Franklin (21-0-0, 14 KO) on Saturday, November 26 at the OVO Arena Wembley in London, United Kingdom. After losing via sixth-round TKO to Tyson Fury in April, Whyte returns to the ring to face off against a tough opponent who knows no defeat. The event can be followed live through the DAZN platform.
The loss against Fury affected Whyte. When The Gypsy King I was waiting for Anthony Joshua for the fight that he claimed so much on social networks, there was talk of a possible rematch between the two. Whyte wanted that fight, but finally Fury will close the trilogy with Derek Chisora on December 3 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. “It’s great to be back doing what I love,” Whyte said of the match, “I can’t wait to get back in the ring and prove that, when push comes to shove, I can make it to Wembley and remind everyone why I was number one in the WBC for over four years.”
Jermaine Franklin also shares the excitement over the crash. “I am very excited to fight in the UK,” said the undefeated boxer, “I want them to shout and love the way I box, and embrace me as the people’s champion.” The American comes from winning his last fight against Rodney Moore by TKO in the fifth round in May of this year. “The world is going to meet the real Jermaine Franklin Jr,” he said.
