Instagram and Facebook users around the world experienced difficulties accessing both social media and their respective functions. The problem was especially felt on the Instagram platform this Thursday morning (2), says the Downdetector observatory.
In Portugal, the peak of failures, the maximum number of complaints recorded on the Downdetector platform, was recorded at 12:33 am. In particular, the errors were concentrated in the mobile application for Android and iOS devices, with a lower incidence on the website.
Instagram has service failures in Portugal
More specifically, from 10:57 am (Lisbon time), complaints began to be registered on the platform dedicated to the recording and tracking of failures on platforms and websites. At the time of writing, there are more than 1,281 registered complaints.
At the same time, albeit on a smaller scale, the Facebook platform was also the subject of complaints. Users report failures mainly in the website, in accessing the social network through the computer and the respective browser, with some problems when logging in.
Mark Zuckerberg’s social network registered a peak of complaints at 12:20 (Lisbon time), with the problem apparently solved since then, as there is a lower incidence of complaints through Downdetector.
Facebook also shook, but on a lesser scale this Thursday (2)
The problems with accessing the service are now apparently solved on Facebook, and they are decreasing in the realm of Instagram as well. However, we do not know, at the moment, what caused this brief blackout in Europe and in Portugal in particular.
More recently, the failure of the service is pointed out in regions such as Brazil, Mexico, among other South American nations, where failures in access to Instagram are also particularly pointed out, with less incidence on Facebook.
We recall that the last significant failure on the Mark Zuckergerg rigs took place in March, as we disclosed in 4gnews. This time, however, the issues were resolved more quickly, leading to less frustration.
Complaints about access to Instagram already populate Twitter #instagramdown
Meanwhile, users increasingly point out the impossibility of accessing Instagram through the social network Twitter. Proof of this is the popularity of the hashtag #instagramdown in trends or trends In Portugal.
As of the writing of this article, the Facebook group has not disclosed information about the causes of this global “blackout”. The same applies to Instagram pages on the Twitter platform, as well as its websites and support pages.
Anyway, did you also experience any problems or crashes when accessing Instagram and / or Facebook?
