The NFL announced that, as part of the commemoration of the ‘Run With It’ commercial, Mexican Diana Flores became the first flag football player with artifacts in the Hall of Fame museum of Professional American Football.
The shirt that Flores used in the commercial aired during halftime of Super Bowl LVII, along with the ball signed by Billie Jean King and Ahmad ‘Sauce’ Gardner, will be on display at the museum.
The quarterback of the Mexican Flag Football Team said she was honored because her jersey is in Canton and for being able to show that sport is for everyone.
“I am honored that my jersey is part of the Hall of Fame collection alongside the legends of the NFL and the football stars that I admire so much,” Flores said. “It is very significant, not only for me, but for flag Football in general. It’s hugely symbolic to show that football is for everyone, especially Latina women and girls.”.
