Dia Mirza slams media, demands apology to Rhea Chakraborty in Sushant case

The spotlight is back on Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. Actress Dia Mirza just reacted to the CBI’s closure report. On Instagram, she asked if the media will apologize to Rhea Chakraborty and her family.

The CBI filed two separate reports. One on Sushant’s father’s complaint about Rhea abetting suicide. The other is Rhea’s complaint against Sushant’s sisters.

Dia Mirza said the media caused Rhea “deep pain and harassment.” She wrote, “Will the media gather the courage to apologize to Rhea and her family? You went after her like a witch hunt. You caused pain for TRP. Apologize. That’s the least you can do. @RheaChakraborty.”

According to PTI, the courts will decide if the report is accepted or if the agency should investigate further.

Sushant was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14, 2020. He was 34. The autopsy revealed he died from suffocation.

The CBI investigated two cases. One filed by Sushant’s father in Patna, accusing Rhea of abetting suicide and taking 15 crores from his account. The other case was filed by Rhea in Mumbai, accusing Sushant’s sisters of giving him fake prescription medicines.

Experts, location analysis, witness statements, and forensic reports led the CBI to conclude there was no evidence to support the claims that someone forced Sushant to commit suicide.

The CBI finally filed its closure report, ending the conspiracy theory surrounding Sushant’s death. AIIMS forensic experts dismissed claims of “poisoning and strangulation” and confirmed death by suicide.
