Dhoni explained his next plan to serve in the army after retiring from the IPL

Veteran Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni has finalized his future plans after the IPL. After retiring from the IPL, he wants to serve the army. He said this at an event.

When a fan asked him what his plans were after cricket, Dhoni replied, “I haven’t thought much about it yet.” I’m playing cricket right now. It will also be very interesting for me to know what I will do after cricket. But one thing is almost certain. I would like to spend some more time in the army. Because I haven’t been able to do that in the last few years.

It is noteworthy that MS Dhoni was awarded the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel by the Indian Army in 2011. He is a lieutenant colonel in the paratrooper regiment. In the last decade, he has been seen on many occasions in army fatigues visiting various places.

MS Dhoni turned 42 years old. He last played cricket in the Indian team’s jersey in 2019. But even after retiring from international cricket, he remains in the IPL. He is the captain of the Chennai Super Kings and made his team champions again last season.

In the last IPL season, he also showed excellent batting performances while going down the order. Even at this age, he leaves the other players far behind in terms of hitting power and captaincy. This is the reason why he has not completely retired from cricket till date. He will also be seen leading the Chennai team in IPL 2024.
