Developers of ‘The Lord of the Rings: Gollum’ game apologize for ‘disappointing experience’

the game developers The Lord of the Rings: Gollum issued an apology after receiving severe criticism for lackluster gameplay, unrefined graphics, and general glitches.

In a message posted to Twitter and Steam, Daedalic Entertainment says it regrets the “disappointing experience” about the game.

“We recognize and deeply regret that the game did not meet the expectations we set for ourselves or our dedicated community”says the message.

“We really value your feedback and are actively listening to your voices, reading your comments and considering the constructive criticism and suggestions you’ve provided.”

 

The study adds thathas been working on fixes for some of the bugs and performance issues that players have experienced and says it will keep users informed of its progress.

Gollum, set around the time of The Fellowship of the Ring, is an action game for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It’s scheduled to come to Nintendo Switch later this year.

During the gameplay, you take control of Gollum and his two personalities as you try to outrun the orcs and escape Mordor.
