Deutsche Telekom today announced the availability of the new fixed-line Internet tariff MagentaZuhause 2000. That is the good news.
The new Telekom fiber optic tariff theoretically enables 2,000 Mbit/s in download and 1,000 Mbit/s in upload. Not only are streaming services like Netflix, Disney+ or Amazon Prime Video fun, but you can also work carefree in your home office while your family is happily streaming and take part in video conferences, for example. The high upload bandwidth of 1,000 Mbit/s should be particularly exciting for working from home. This means even video producers can work from home.
Gaming fans, on the other hand, can look forward to the low latency times that are so important for this target group. With a view to future application scenarios, this bandwidth should also be sufficient for augmented and virtual reality applications.
Hardly anyone can book MagentaZuhause 2000
But there is also some bad news in connection with MagentaZuhause 2000. Currently, as part of pre-marketing, only customers in Berlin and Gunzenhausen and there only in the expansion areas can book the new fiber optic tariff. Both cities are the pilot cities for MagentaZuhause 2000. But booking doesn’t mean using it yet, so interested customers will probably have to be patient until they can actually surf that quickly.
How slowly MagentaZuhause 2000 will start can be seen in this number: By the end of 2024, only around 100,000 households should be able to book the new MagentaZuhause 2000 fiber optic tariff.
