Details of D’Angelo Russell’s contract with the Lakers: salary, years remaining…

D’Angelo Russell (27 years old and 1.93 m) landed this February in the Los Angeles Lakers from the Minnesota Timberwolves in a three-way operation in which the Utah Jazz was also involved and whose main priority for the Los Angeles franchise was to get rid of Russell Westbrook.

This is the point guard’s second stint at the Staples Center. The Lakers selected him number 2 in the 2015 draft.. His first stay came until June 2017, when he was transferred to the Brooklyn Nets for Timofey Mozgov, Brook Lopez and a first round player from 2017. He was the capital in New York during the two seasons he was there until he joined, in the summer of 2019 and for short space of time, in some Golden State Warriors who sent him to the Wolves in February 2020.

His signing for the Bahía franchise was preceded by a sign and trade (sign and transfer) in which he got his current contract for four years and 117 million dollars, which expires in June, once the season is closed. Russell will enter the free agent market in which he can either re-sign with the Los Angeles Lakers or sign with a new franchise.
