Demonstrations by women in the Afghan capital, Kabul. Later, protesters were dispersed by the firing of the Taliban’s opponents.
According to Afghan media reports, women demonstrated for their rights outside the Pakistani embassy in the Afghan capital, Kabul. Protesters chanted slogans of freedom. According to reports, 60 to 70 people were present in the demonstration, holding banners in their hands.
A Taliban displacement force stationed outside the embassy also opened fire in the air to disperse the protesters. Protesters included a large number of women, who called on the government to give women equal rights in all areas.
It should be noted that earlier in Herat and Mazar-e-Sharif, women had also protested against women’s rights and non-inclusion of women in government formation.
It is noteworthy that the demonstrations by women took place at a time when the Taliban have announced that they are close to forming a government.
For several kilometers well-disciplined Taliban members allowed a protest of approximately 300-500 to continue through the streets of Kabul. Talibs guarding Zanbak Square, however, fired in the air, beat protesters, vandalized a vehicle leading them and tore cameras from journalists. pic.twitter.com/e9kPPTquUL
