The long-awaited film ‘Udaipur Files’ is finally getting its moment in the sun. It has been stuck in legal limbo for quite some time. Now, the Delhi High Court has given its clear nod, refusing to stop the movie’s release.
This film has seen its share of drama right from the beginning. ‘Udaipur Files’ was originally set to premiere on July 11. However, some religious groups raised objections and took their concerns to court. This led to multiple delays, pushing back the release date. Good news for fans, though: the film is now slated to hit screens tomorrow, August 8. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting had already given the film its green light.
The request to halt the film came from Mohammed Javed, who is an accused in the Kanhaiya Lal murder case. He approached the court seeking a ban on ‘Udaipur Files.’ His petition aimed to prevent the movie from being shown to the public.
However, the Delhi High Court firmly rejected his plea. The bench, led by Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyay and Justice Tushar Rao Gadela, dismissed the petition. The court stated that the petitioner failed to present a strong enough case to support his demand for a stay. This decision clears the way for the film to finally be seen.
